The Awakening of Rhayne

I had had a dream that demanded to be a photoshoot. It stuck with me for over a year. I knew what I wanted to shoot and who it had to be. I was finally able to get to Vegas and make it a reality. So thank you to Jen, her son River and his girlfriend, Sara. We went out shopping for a wedding dress. WHAT AN ADVENTURE! Through the magic of social media, we were able to trade a dress we bought for a better dress. Then we patiently waited for nightfall. Loaded up all the gear and headed out to the desert. What an adventure that was! We got offroad and cruised all over looking for the perfect spot. We ended up in an old dried up lake bed. This was my first shoot of this kind and I wasn’t nearly as prepared as I thought I was. But I think we made some magic.

This was my dream….I have a friend who has stated she'll never be married. She's complete on her own and doesn't need the societal norm or a husband. So I had a dream one night that she gave herself to the universe. Became a bride of the cosmos. In her transition from a earthly vessel to a bride of the stars, all society expectations were burned away. She was stripped down and complete on her own. The fire of the universe in her womb. Ready to birth a better world.

So here’s our creation. I hope you love it. I hope it resonates with you. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
