Starting out...scared as hell.

I'm toying around with a tagline for my business. And since I'm all about keeping it real, I want to include you all in the process. Currently, the front runner is,

"Bringing unaltered beauty into your life."

Why? Because in this world that is so wrapped up in filters, photoshop and specific lighting, I'm in love with taking pictures as nature presents them to me.

I've taken photos for years. It's always been my passion and creative outlet. When I took this photo, was when I really thought about doing this for other people and not just myself.

We'd been in Longbeach WA a couple days prior to this and somehow, I'd forgotten my camera at home. WHAT? Yeah. I ended up driving around without my camera. And wouldn't you know it? There were about 17 bald eagles and some golden eagles on the beach. I was so mad at myself. So I went home, got my gear and got back out to that beach. There was only two bald eagles when I got back out there. But I knew if I waited, I'd get the shot I wanted. It was a bit overcast, the lighting was tricky and the eagle didn't listen to direction. So I just sat there for an hour or so waiting for this eagle to do a fly by. Finally, he did it. I snapped twenty or so pictures as he went by. They aren't as crisp as they could be, I was shaking with excitement. But this photo unlocked my passion to a new level. This photo, unaltered, is a glimpse into my soul. You see, that eagle is me. I got my wings out and I'm starting to fly.
